INSTRUCTORS and SENPAI

Shihan Dennis Hoare

Beginning with [style] under [sensei] in [1970], Shihan Hoare (sensei to his students) has been studying the martial arts for over 30 years.  In [1972] he began his studies in Isshinryu under sensei Don Nagle at the [location] dojo.  Sensei Hoare was promoted through [rank] by sensei Nagle and in [1980] was awarded the responsibility as chief instructor of the honbu dojo on Central Avenue . Currently an 8th degree black belt (hachi-dan), Shihan Hoare is the [highest ranking?] Isshinryu master under the Nagle linneage.

The emphasis on the practical and finding "what works" has led Shihan Hoare to seminars under some of the top names in martial arts today (Remy Presas, Wally Jay, George Dillman, et al).  From his experiences and his investigations, sensei Hoare has gained considerable insight to the fighting applications (bunkai) hidden within the Isshinryu kata.
