The club meets weekly for inter-style martial arts practice, drills and sparring.

Participants will have the opportunity to work two-person drills and sparring at various levels of resistance (non-cooperation). The emphasis will be on developing sensitivity/skill at all ranges (striking, clinching and no-gi grappling).

Presently, there is no set schedule for meeting times.  The club has only one member (me).  I study taijiquan and have some prior Karate training along with brief investigations into Judo, JJJ and Aikido.  I found a great group of Isshin- ryu karate guys around the corner from my house and have been sparring with them regularly for over a year. I have access to the dojo for gatherings.

Gatherings are not intended to be a classroom environment where one person consistently becomes the teacher due to experience.  Each member should bring something to the session.

Safety is of primary importance.  No one should feel obligated to escalate the level of contact beyond their comfort level.
